The staff was really helpful. I was looking for a book that was difficult to find and they searched the store for the one copy that was supposed to be there. It wasn't, but she really tried to find it for me. It was too late to order for Christmas, so I got a GC. I appreciate the effort and the smile.

Bad business practices isn't what this particular company needs - especially with Amazon slowly chipping away at their customer base.

Good books, comics, and magazines. My little one loves the kids section. There's even a music section for those so inclined. The best part, though, is the Starbucks coffee right inside so you can get your caffeine fix while you read/shop.

**Update - My father was able to evenly exchange the day after. It seems like it was employee incompetence. I suppose if you go to right employees, they'll know what to do.**

I have never had a problem with this Barnes and Noble until recently. I went to exchange a gift - a journal (Moleskin, dotted) - for the same exact journal (moleskin, squared) but with a different line style. I was told I had to pay the eight dollar difference as my parents had used a coupon. I was puzzled as it was literally the same book, same price but with a different line style. But because my parents had used a coupon, they were going to require me to pay. Why bother with coupons if a simple switch of the same product is going to cost the person? Had I purchased, used a coupon and walked out only to realize I had picked up the wrong journal by mistake - I'd have to go back in and pay the difference? The employees were less than subpar with attitude and handling this situation.

Love Barnes & Noble... and smell of fresh coffee while I browse! Was looking for a new atlas with latest maps. GPS is wonderful unless you find yourself in an area with poor -- or NO -- satellite reception! And, sometimes a more logical route is visible on a map. Anyway, shopping at Barnes & Noble is always a great experience --friendly helpful staff, wonderful coffee, and good cookies, as well as probably any publication you may need!

Parking is tight. Love the coffee. Awesome selection of books, magazines, and more! Hands on items for kids and adults from puzzles to Nooks. Did I say that I love the coffee ; )
