I will never shop online with the Avenue or Loralette. I placed an order online for a clearance cold shoulder top and received a damaged top. It had ink stains in various areas. I called customer service and they asked me to take pictures of the top and send it to them. My cell phone does not take good pictures and the customer service gave me an invalid email address to email the pictures. I called customer service again, and they said they will have someone from higher up call me. I asked them why am I being punished because I received a damaged top. I will never shop with either line again.
I purchased a shirt in this store less than a week ago. After one hour of wearing it I noticed a 6 inch hole where the seam at the bottom was coming apart from the main shirt. I called the store yesterday and told them what happened. They said they would hold that exact shirt for me for up to 24 hours to come back. Tonight I went back and the manager there treated me like a common criminal. She was extremely rude and unapologetic. She said there was fuzz and a little place where dirt was on the shirt. I explained that I had to finish wearing the shirt that day as I was at work. I still had the tags that was on the shirt. I purposefully didn't wash the shirt because I wanted them to know I had only worn it that once. The manager, Jennifer, said "She didn't think she could swap the shift for me." After telling her my story and explaining that no shirt should unravel like that regardless of fuzz, etc. She finally said "well I will do it this time but this will be the last time...." her exact words. WHAT? I told her I had NEVER returned an item and this was my first time with an experience like this. She then said "That is good (that I don't return items) because I would not be able to do this again." OH MY WORD...No apologies that I just had to drive almost 45 minutes (each way) to exchange this shirt. No I am sorry this shirt unraveled on you...nothing. I told her she was rude and she still seemed to care less. To that she said "well this will reflect badly on me...when I have to take things back". Seriously! I asked her what her name was and she said it was Jennifer but refused to tell me her last name. I told her this would be the last time I shopped in this store. I still can't believe how awful she was. I am embarrassed to say that I was so upset I almost cried and again...she was just simply RUDE.
