Way too busy for such a small waiting area. Of course they didn’t have enough people working to keep up with the volume and of course they could care less
After my bad experience at the Lincolnton DMV. I have decided to give a shot here. Service here was so much better. The older gentleman at the front desk was very friendly.When they called my number the examiner (i forgot his name) was able to do my id for me even though it has already expired. I told him what happen at the other dmv how they wouldnt change my address since i didnt have proof of residents address. He clearly told me that I dont even need proof to change my address for my id. I was only there for a good 20 minute and he was able to get my id all done. Plus, i love the fact that when he took my picture he actually show it to me before submitting all the documents. Got to give him credit on this one cause at some other dmv they dont show you your picture and it looks horrible when you recieved it.
I had no issues here I call ahead time to ask for the wait time, I made sure I had all my "extra" documents for the new federal mandate license the state is double dipping on everyone because they will give you the non federal one knowing you have to come back again in 2020 when the federal deadline is reach to have the new id's. Don't pay for 8 years if you don't have all the extra documents.
Helpful in answering questions. Efficient at processing request to swap out of state license with NC license. Being prepared with all necessary documents helps speed up the process.
