First and last time with budget, returned car a minute before 6pm and noticed no one was in the office. I walked around the service center, the garage, the back offices everywhere looking for an employee but no one was present I left a note and the key because I wasn't paying for another overnight. I called the next day and they said that was standard practice after 6pm and they don't lock any doors and that I would be charged for additional night... Okay budget nice one wont happen again.
I reserved a car for August 3-14. Picked up the car on the 3rd and it was dirty and needed vacuumed. I didn't complain because my schedule was tight. Left the lot to discover there was a slow leak in the tire and also it was infested with spiders... yep, baby spiders were creeping out from under the dash and from below the driver seat area. The slow leak became worse and so I dropped it off back at Budget since I was right there and because all the spiders my girlfriend was freaking out and so I forgot to fill the car with gas. Budget was closed when I dropped car off and they called me next day to come get it. I told them I was working and couldn't pick up a car until Sunday to wich I did even after all that. What made me decide to go back to enterprise though was the fact that they charged me $90 for gas!!!!!! Are you kidding me???? $90 had I known that at the time I would have continued my reservation with Enterprise. Horrible horrible customer service!!!!!
Not a very good experience this time around. First thing that didnt set well with me was that the employee was late and when he did show up,no apologies for being late. Next was the employee wasnt friendly at all. When he finally found the keys to our vehicle that was rented(made the reservation a month or so in advance,looks like things should have been organized to lessen the wait time) he just gave us the keys and told us to go find it in the lot...didnt look for damages,didnt pull the car down to us,didnt show us anything about the vehicle...such as lights,wipers and other valuable info. I admit that we were late bringing back the car and was expecting another charge,but it just stings a little from the lack of customer service.
I typically rent a car about once or twice a month and would use Enterprise in Morganton because they are closer. I started using Budget because even though it was farther it was still more convenient for me. I rented three maybe four times from Budget and each time it just got worse. The first couple of times it was "just ok" of an experience. This last time though, I made up my mind that I'm done with Budget.

WORST EMPLOYEES EVER! TOLD BY EMPLOYEE, THAT OWNER IS NO BETTER! I would give them NO STARS if i could! Just plain RUDE, DIDN'T WANT TO WORK TO RESOLVE ANYTHING. NO PROBLEM SOLVING SKILLS, LIKE DEER IN HEADLIGHTS WHEN ASKED SIMPLE REQUEST TO PERFORM ROUTINE TASKS.
