We have been a 72 Degree customer for many years. Unfortunately, I have to admit that we should have discontinued service sooner. We've lost all confidence in 72's service. We've left a request for the service manager and or owner to contact us to discuss our issues and have not heard back.
She told me they make exceptions for the elderly or young children because they would be considered an emergency but not me, my business and some dogs. So I can safely say that will never be using 72 degrees and I can see why so many people complain about them.
I have been told by many people how expensive 72 degrees is, but here I am on a Sunday afternoon with a busted a/c unit with no other option than to call them. So I take a chance. I leave a message and get a call back from a woman named Beth who says they can't get out there till Tuesday because there is no way to get a technician out to me today. I told her that wouldn't work for me and why not Monday. She said they only will do emergency calls since it's a holiday. I told her it is an emergency. And she asked me how. I told her I run a pet sitting business and I have clients' animals here with me now and I need to get the a/c running asap. She tells me that isn't an emergency. I told her I wouldn't argue with her because I can't force them to take my business.
They have always done a great job for me. Installed, serviced and maintained HVAC units at my home and the 2 rentals I have. Service has been timely and Beth always makes me smile.
I'd rather not go into detail related to our complaints, which are many. Simply put, I would not recommend this company.
I called and scheduled a maintenance check on my unit because I hadn't had it checked since buying my home 2 years ago. I wasn't having any issues ,just wanted to have it checked before winter came. The appt was set for 330 pm and my renter got off work early to be there. By 510, no one had still shown up, so I called and the lady said they were on the way. When they got there, one of the men stayed in the truck (assuming the actual tech) while the other guy look down through the unit, went back to the truck to speak to the other guy, who the got out, looked down through the unit and proceeded to tell my renter that the compressor was not working at all and couldn't believe that it was cooling at all. Again, no problems from this unit at all. Electric bill is around $60 for the month of July. My renter calls me and lets him talk to me. He tells me the same thing and I ask how much the compressor would cost, he automatically quotes $1905.00 without so much as saying, I'll need to check or let me ask the owners. They went into the home and turned the air up to 85 in the house and turned the breaker off saying they couldn't be responsible for more damage to the unit, THAT WAS WORKING JUST FINE TIL THEY SHOWED UP. Also, the bill came to $79.00 and the renter gave them $80 in cash, they didn't have change and couldn't give her a receipt . Needless to say, they will never see my business again. I am in absolute awe that with all these reviews the owners or management has never responded to any of them.
Beth is very pleasant when answering the phone. Provides excellent customer service. Look forward to future work endeavors. Sid & the team are great!!!!!
