My friends and I had a take out order and I ordered cheese fries as my meal. After digging into the cheese fries, I took one bit and immediately got a hair. Okay...one hair....it might have been mine although it was black and straight (mine is blonde and curly).... I decided to brush this off. The next bite I took, I got another straight black hair that was coated in cheese so it had been cooked prior to serving. No one in my group of friends had black hair (although I don't eat my friends hair either). After that experience, I cannot stomach the thought of coming back or ordering anything from here. Maybe it is me but I like my food hairless.
Gone down hill, this used to be my wife's go to spot every Friday. Chili's quality on the food has gone down so much we won't be comming back again until things change. As always there ribs are amazing but it seems the portions get smaller and the price goes up at the same time things that tasted fresh now taste like they were frozen.
My family and myself have frequented this Chili's often for the past 5 years- so well, the night staff knew us and often stopped and said hello to us even when they weren't helping us. So, when we decided to bring our friends to Chili's with us this past Monday, we figured we would have an awesome dining experience as usual. Man, I couldn't have been more wrong. It took TWO HOURS for us to finish our meal after waiting 30 minutes for appetizers, 45 for our food and another 20 minutes after we orders our dessert to get it. It wasn't busy at all, and customers all over the dining room were getting extremely irritated. I get being short staffed, or the kitchen being backed up, etc. That wasn't even the issue, honestly, our bill had a major discrepancy that didn't allow us to use a $10 off $30 on a $48 bill- we read the exclusions, etc but the way the tickets were rung up, they didn't allow us to use the coupon for whatever reason. We had done the same thing multiple times prior. The manager refused to even take a minute to understand what I was trying to say. I was so incredibly disappointed in the manager AND the fact that he refused to try to fix the $10 off issue that we will NOT be back.
There was 2 crowds at the door: a large group waiting to be seated and a group waiting to put their name in to be seated. I got behind the second group. Another group walked in and got behind me. It was probably 10 minutes before anyone even came to see us. Because this Chili's is notoriously bad for long waits for service and food, I asked the manager if they were short-staffed and if it would take over 30 minutes to get the food. He assured me no and we were soon taken to a table. Besides my friends quesadillas being very dry, the food was good. Our waitress was extremely sporadic in her visits and we had to ask another waiter for assistance at one point. This is pretty typical for the Hickory Restaurant. If you know that going in, you shouldn't be disappointed.
Super helpful! After a girl in my office returned from picking up an order I placed for a couple coworkers, we noticed one of the entrees was missing. Called up the restaurant and asked if someone could bring it to our office. They promptly brought it to us and added a free molten cake for our trouble. Not many restaurants would do that at lunch on a Friday. Definitely recommend.
