I like to eat at sub station 2 it has some delicious subs
Some of the best subs in Hickory. The staff has been there forever and knows you by face. The new building is stark and not as comfortable to eat in as the old place. The old building had old pictures on the wall, carpet and wood paneling. The new one it's too bright and hard and cold. They lost much of their personality in the move. Don't get me wrong, the food is still great, but I all more likely to get takeout more than eat in.
The chef salad was absolutely delicious and I even ordered one to go to eat for dinner. The owner was fantastic for coming to our table to check on us and for asking how everything tasted.
Love their Ruben sandwich...
Best and oldest sub place in town. Been eating at this chain all of my adult life. Get a 19 you can't go wrong.
